Finding Consistency

I need a new plan. Something that will help me find the time to actually sit down and write. I have a lot of excuses--many of them valid--but a lot of them just lazy.
For one, I'm a teacher who has been teaching for 13 years, but is at a new district, teaching a new curriculum at a new grade level. I love it, but it's a lot. Right now I should be grading, but I'm obviously writing this post. And last night I should have stayed up just 30 minutes more and finished reading the story I'm supposed to teach next week. Instead, I delved into the social media world--not to post anything, but to scroll.
The newest plan I have devised is an early riser plan, but I'm dreading it. It won't last--will it? Can I make it happen when I already get up at 5:30 just to get myself showered, dressed and out the door on time? I'm going to have to at least try.
Here is my "schedule."
M, W, F:
4:45--alarm goes off, I get up and get some water, tea, and a little snack.
5:00-5:30--write
5:30-6:30--get ready for work and leave
6:30--4:00/4:30--Work day
4:30--8:30 Family
8:30--9:30-- possible grading time OR writing
9:30--10:00--Read
T, Th:
4:45--alarm off, drink water, work out, eat quick breakfast
5:30--everything else the same
Sa, Su:
7:00-8:00-- wake up at some point
8:00--8:30--run????
8:30--9:00 shower
9:00--10:00 write
10:00--11:00 school stuff
11:00--8:30 Family
8:30--10:00 Write or Read
I like schedules, even when I have to break them or tweak a little. It makes me feel as if I can accomplish something. I'm just not thrilled with that 4 in front of my wake up time... And weekends will always be up for grabs depending on what's happening at home. I'm going to try it this week and see how life works. Stay tuned for the results!!
