About Me

I grew up surrounded by books and knew from an early age that writing would always be a major part of my life. Books and stories were my safe place as well as my window to a world of adventure.

As an educator, I have loved sharing books with my students and seeing the joy and discovery that the Middle Grade and Young Adult genres can bring to younger readers.

I write stories about kids who want to find a place to belong when they feel separate from the world around them.  I write about kids trying to understand the world around them. I write about discovering a part of yourself that you want to grow and share with the world.

When I'm not writing or teaching, I like to curl up with a good book, run slowly (it is definitely not a walk, but it's pretty slow!), and spend time with my family. We're big Star Wars and Harry Potter fans here. I am a proud Hufflepuff!
